Moab Rim Trail – by Ltexc

“What I gathered was, we’re conditioned to believe we can’t leave the front door without the latest and greatest. We’re slaves to modern innovation and addicted to the next greatest thing. It’s an experience arrestor, if you let it take you over.”

Out of it. Away. Gone.

I drove across country a dozen days ago in a bit of a sleepless blur. Bounced from couch to couch for a while in the land of endless dreams. Lounged in libraries during the days to rest my legs and check email. Carved the slopes of mountains through dense fog and fell behind time along the beaches of manhattan. I flew home in a 48 hour whirlwind of way too many airports and seemingly endless public transit, eventually landing back at my desk.

I still don’t understand why anyone would want to work at a desk.
