I go to court today to testify as a witness to the car accident I saw last month.  I don’t mind lending a hand, but it seems to me I’ve already done everything I can for this case. I spoke with two officers already and told both of them everything I know. But apparently that isn’t enough and now I have to take half a day off, drive to Newbury and take the stand. The document I received in the mail states: “WARNING TO WITNESS: Failure to appear in accordance with this summons may result in the issuance of a warrant for your arrest.”

Really? … Screw off. I hate our legal system.
