Glen Heggstad’s National Geographic Special
I posted on here the other day about the amazing adventures of Glen Heggstad. He is truly an adventurer, and an incredible inspiration. When he was traveling through Columbia a number of years ago he was kidnapped and held hostage by a rebel group. He wrote a book on the ordeal called Two Wheels Through Terror. The National Geographic Channel did a special on him reenacting his experience. I’ve been looking for a copy of it for quite a while and just discovered it. Above is the link. Absolutely incredible.

For the last two months I have been posting only inspirational photos from North America – mostly because that is where my travels will be begin. However, I have been collecting hundreds of photos of scenery from other parts of the world as well. This is one of them.

Arizona by Nightstalker
I love big tall cactuses (cacti, cactus), they really break up an otherwise desolate landscape. I hope to soon see them in person.
