I get contacted frequently by inquiring customers who provide me no information about their business, and frequently don’t even provide a name. This used to frustrate me to no end. I would often completely disregard emails if there was no name attached or no information that I felt should be there. However I recently came to the realization that it is no different than a brick and mortar store. When a customer walks in he doesn’t say his name or give a lot of details, he just says “I need help. Can you do this?”

Though it still aggravates me I now answer all emails regardless of the information inside them. But I occasionally give my client hopefuls emailing ‘tips’.
